Final Report
Jul 31, 2013 · The mine uses open pit type mining and employed 8 people at the time of the accident. The mine is divided by a township road. The mine operates one shift per day, five days a week. The coal seams being mined are the Upper Freeport, Lower Freeport, and the Upper Kittanning. The daily average production rate is approximately 450 tons.
