There's 0 point in using the RPi as a cryptocurrency mining rig. Clustered or not, there's no way the tiny processor and network IO has a chance in hell of competing with the specialized hardware that's being used by bigger players. How a cluster would perform vs an individual RPi is nearly impossible to say.

The master cluster had xmrigproxy and all the clients connected to the proxy. Each node had around 11 H/s which totalled 341 H/s (Master node was not mining). A improvement was compiling the 64 bits kernel with distcc for all the nodes. tldr; I am moved on to a mining rig with gpu's. The cluster project was purely eduional tryouts.
